Alice's room was at the end of a long, dark hallway deep in the C.O.D.A. headquarters. The whole room had been painted purple, the walls a lavender, the bedspread a violet shade. The room too was dark. Not that it mattered to Alice, laying down on top of the bed sheets, an arm around her Buneary plush. Blind from birth, light or dark did not matter to her, nor did they exist. She saw the world through her own psychic waves bouncing off of everything in the room. No colors, no light, no dark. The little Uxie 'morph pondered this as she stared up at the ceiling through her closed eyes. What was color? What was light? She had heard the scientists mention these things, but every time she asked, they brushed her off with a "That doesn't matter" or "Don't worry about that". Like most things she took in from her environment, she felt that strong desire to learn more. Well, there wasn't much sense in laying on the bed. Time to explore. Which, given the circumstances, was more like wandering the building for the bagilionth time. Slowly levitating off of the sheets, plush still in hand, Alice floated to the door and opened it just a crack. No one seemed to be there. She always felt this strange pull at her heart whenever she was looking for someone and turned up empty handed. But she was unable to name it, at least not yet. Gliding down the long, dim-lighted corridor, she took notice, once again, at the many un-labeled, locked doors along it's walls.
What is inside those doors?
