[NAME] Meredith (Mere) Kimura.
[SPECIES] Quilava
[GENDER] Female
[AGE] 15
[ALLIANCE] Lucem Ferre
[ABILITIES] She has developed a strong night vision and can see in almost total darkness.
[MOVES] Tackle, Leer, Smokescreen, Ember, Quick Attack, Flame Wheel
[DESCRIPTION] On her human side, Mere has a brunette girl with relativily tan skin. She has red-orange eyes like a quilava. She is short, reaching only 4'9". Due to the small stature of a quilava, she is basically on the small side in about every phisical way. The hairs on her legs, arms, head, and any other hairs are fireproof. Due to the fact that she doesn't have hair completely covering her whole body, she can get burned by intense fire if exposed to it for a long enough time. For her basic stature, she stands up-right when she is just standing or walking slowly. When she is running or speed walking then he tends to have a more bent over look to her, because quilavas stand right up when still but run on all fours. Also, she has the basic ears of a quilava. Her weight is 98 lbs and she wears the normal red collar of the lucem ferre.
On the inside, Mere has two flare glands on on her forehead, and one on her lower back. These flare glands are like the ones that start a quilava's 'head and tail fire'. They are found within a layer of skin, close tithe surface, giving the skin in those areas a red spot or two. The flare glands are connected to the nervous system, and are activated by an intense flick of an emotion, like a sudden flash of fury in the head. These strong emotions are what spark the fire, and light up her fire-proof head.
[PERSONALITY] Mere is a very bossy pokemorph. Her fierce Quilava personality tends to make her a bit more independent. Her bossy independentness makes her a good leader. She tries her hardest to make good decisions yet sometimes things tend to backfire at her. What she desires most is be on the frontlines. Since the transformation, her quilava side has made her a fiercer fighter, and he desires to test her full potential so much it makes her fire burn brightly.
Mere can get pretty hard-headed at times and tends to bite off more than she can chew. Surprisingly, though, when she is in a good mood, she can be sort of enjoyable to be around. Then again, nowadays she is simply too focused on what's going on between CODA an lucem ferre to spend time worrying about silly friendships. One of her main weaknesses is her number one pet peeve: being told what to do. True, she gets told what to do a lot by her superiors, but when a someone with lower or the same authority starts giving orders, she tends to get really ticked off and stubborn.
[HISTORY] Before she was transformed, Mere was an orphan. Her parents died in a wild pokemon accident, in which they were killed by rapid pokemon in the night. Mere was only a baby at that time. Right until her tenth year of life, she was taken care of by her grandmother. At ten, Mere's grandmother died of old age. Since then, she has been switching from foster home to foster home. Finally, at age twelve, she was taken to a small home in Johto, which would be her last foster home.
Mere was sitting in her new room, staring out the window. Her bed was soft and everything, but her new foster parents, the Happynewbs (she has a gigglefit everytime she hears their last name, had a lot of ofter foster kids. Therefor her room was the attick. She sighs, she needed to go for a walk. Mere quickly put in her coat and went downstairs.
"Where' you off to Mere?" Malina, the mother asked.
"Just goin' on a little walk," she replied vaugly.
"Just be careful, many people have been disappearing lately," she warned. This was true, Mere remebered hearing about recent disappearances lately. They probably don't mean people like me, I'm only twelve! Meredith thought hastily. She quickly walked out the front door, desperate to leave before the nine other adopted kids attack her with stupid questions.
Mere walked down the sidewalk. It was dusk, and she was already half way down the street. Suddenly, she heard a noise behind her. She turned, and decided it was just the wind. She walked on, but felt the strangest feeling she was being followed. Mere turned around, the house was on the horizon. Below her she sees a shadow, it was a quilava shadow. This is the last thing she sees before a darkness that seems to last forever.
Mere was scared and shaking. She was in a bag, and she heard strange voices around her. Eventually they took her out and put her in a cage. The steel cage was cold, an Mere could barely see anything. Squinting her eyes, she caught a glimse of a person, wearing a white coat. The man walked over to her cage, and injected something into her arm. She passed out, sliding into a deep sleep.
She woke up surrounded by people. A flickering white light shone above her. Furious she screamed at them, "What do you want with me?! Let me go!" She squirmed, but her wrists and ankles were chained to the table thing she was pressed against. Men in white lab coats surrounded her, their masks and lab glasses prevented Mere from seeing their faces. Large computers surrrounded her, holding random spurts of data unknown to Mere. Her dislexia was preventing her from reading the text on the wall. It looked like fvckn ekppk.
"Are you ready do start experiment Quil001?" one of the large men asked.
"Ok, let's begin," another large man replied.
The next parts burn so vividly in Mere's mind, she could recall that day at any time. One of the white coated men leaned over, in his hand equipped a needle, a shot. Mere struggled, but it was no use. The needle pierced her skin, right into her heart. The precious liquid quickly drained into her body. Mere screamed, but not at the pain of a needle gently piercing her heart, but because of what was in the needle.
Mere's body was on fire. Pain inche it's way to every part of her body as te liquid spread through the blood stream. Eventually it extended to every single inch of her body. Her eye clenched, she felt like she was melting. Her bones felt like rubber, her skin felt like paper. Mere felt as if she'd fall apart any second. Soon, her body started to stabilize itself again, but Mere felt different.
She passed out, and woke up in a dark room, but, surprisingly, she could see everything clearly. She blinked, hoping it was a dream. She looked around, nothing was there but a mirror. She ran over to it, and gasped. Her ears, her forehead, her hair... They had even changed her clothes and had given her a collar. She gasped, it was too much, just too much. Flames burst from her head and lower back, her clothes were fireproof.
The door slowly creaked behind her, a woman walked in. She walked over to Mere, who ran over to a corner and whispered, "What am I?"
"You are a Quilava Pokemorph, deary... Welcome to lucem ferre."
~
Three years later, Mere is a loyal fighter for lucem ferre. She is an experienced fighter and knows the lab she lives in like the back of her hand. She fiercely hates CODA and wishes it would burn to the ground. Eventually, her past life is but a distant memory and she is more focused on here and now.
[OTHER] Mere has dislexia.
