He lingered by the door of the lab, it's broad metal mouth gaping opened to allow him to venture out into the forest. This wasn't an unusual thing, more or less, it was daily. The scientist allowed him to leave the lab and venture out into nature to preserve the Pokemon inside of him. Shaymin was a delicate creature, and without nature, or the bare earth around him, would eventually dwindle away. They had learned this in the early days of studying the young Pokemorph. Though, they had once feared him wandering around in the untold wilderness. But, without nature the young soul lost his powers for a short time, and they feared that, without enough exposure, he would die. Monitoring him while he was let out of the lab only made panic. Eventually, they allowed him to wander alone, placing a chip in his clothing to monitor where he was, and make sure he did not try to run.
But running was never on his mind, nor did he think it possible.
The only thing that scared him now, was what was out there. His last trip outside, just yesterday, had ended in ambush. A Pidgey Pokemorph had been startled by his presence, when Faron had approached him, and tried to converse. He had leapt forward, and raked his claw like feet across Faron's arm and the side of his face. He was able to flee, and make it back to the lab before anymore damage could be dealt. He was fragile though, and he was now afraid to venture out into the forest alone... For fear of another attack. The Scientists had applied medicine to his cuts, and made the pain go away, but he still feared.
So, he stood lingering by the door. His long Skye Forme ears pulled slightly back as he thought about his fear and the world outside. His green eyes started intently outside, wondering if it would be safe to venture out...

It was a pretty quiet day – or at least, on his part. He had been moved to yet another lab in the next couple of days, this one being the one in a forest. Abel didn’t understand why exactly he was moved to different labs. The change wasn’t frequent, which made it worse; he’d get accustomed to the other scientists and be moved to yet another lab. It was a bit annoying. He looked around at his newest surroundings, one of the offices where the scientists worked. They didn’t seem to like him very much, but he figured it was just because they hadn’t quite gotten used to his strange (to them.) optimism. For a while, he watched the scientists work on computers and try to calculate things and do all sorts of complicated tasks that Abel could barely comprehend. It was interesting, and he tried to ask just what they were doing, but the scientists didn’t reply. With a small shrug he turned and left the room.
The lab was just like the others he’d been to – though the layout was different, it had a similar feel to it. There was the hospital-like smells, the lab equipment, the morphs… speaking of which, where were they? He hadn’t explored too much of the lab, but it sounded fairly quiet. His ears drooped a little at the thought of being alone in the lab, having nothing to do besides watching the scientists do their thing. As interesting as it was, he knew he was bothering them. But goodness, he was bored. Sleeping was an option, but Abel didn’t quite feel like napping, he wanted to explore. There was the forest, but he wasn’t usually allowed outside in the other labs, so why would they let him roam around in a forest?
Despite this thought, Abel made his way towards the exit and was a bit surprised to actually find the doors opened. Someone was also there, standing by the door, but not quite going outside. Judging by the green hair, the funky ears and red petals, he guessed it was Faron – the scientists had told Abel about him, they said that he was a special pokemorph, just like himself. Though in his mind, all Pokemorphs were special – but some were more special than others. Special ones like himself weren’t allowed to go outside. He was told the world outside was evil, but he was still curious. Was this one curious as well?
“Faarooon~?” He asked in a singsong sort of tone, “Whatcha doin’?”

Jukka had been wandering about the Ilex Forest for quite some time now. She had trained here a few times as a human but the way she was now, the forest seemed like a completely different world.
The sights. The scents. The sounds. Everything was magnified to immense proportions so that the surrounding forest seemed like a single living being that threatened to engulf her in its dark, leafy bows.
To say the least, Jukka was uncomfortable here. The jolteon morph moved in a sort of half-crouch, ears swiveling with every rustle of grass and every pokemon's fleeting cry. The way she looked now, her clothing in shreds and fur sticking in every direction, she probably looked pretty horrific. A smaller shape padded after her but kept its distance, darting behind bushes and keeping to the shadows. Jukka seemed to know it was there but ignored it for now.
As she came to a clearing in which buildings scraped the skyline, her ears perked forward and then flattened themselves to her furred skull. Jukka had mixed feelings about venturing so close to the city. It really upped her chances for being captured. Still, she was quite ravenous and had only dined on a few stray berries today. Her nose lifted to the air and she scented the slightly charred scent of roasting chicken. Her mouth began to water.
It was then that she noticed that she was fairly close to a building that was somewhat nestled in the trees. She froze as heavy door opened and a sterile smell filtered from the dark confines of the building. It was definitely some sort of lab. In fact, it very much resembled a Lucem Ferre lab. The thought made her fur stand on end.
She couldn't help but crouch there and watch through her miss-matched eyes, a shadow of movement in the doorway. What sort of monsterous creature would emerge? Would it sight her amongst the foliage? Jukka didn't want to see what was going to come out of that door but she was afraid to move.
So she waited, braced for the worst.

Faron had not expected someone to approach him, or talk to him at the moment. He was so fixed on the forest that his one-track mind had all but wandered away from reality. He jumped, just enough to where his feet left the floor and he floated up. He spun around to see who had just spoke. This person was new to Faron, but the Pink ears and tail were two small features that Faron immediately noticed. He had heard some chatter amongst the scientist that a special Pokemorph was coming to stay for a while. But, the scientists never really told him anything, and tried to keep him focused on learning and functioning. Lab affairs were a waste of Brain space. He still hovered slightly above the ground, eyes glowing with surprise. He inhaled a deep breathe and lowered down onto his feet. He mumbled a few inaudible words, before raising one paw-like hand, covered in green fur, to brush aside the green bangs that fell in front of his face. Conversing was not the easiest thing for him to do, it made him rather nervous, another reason the scientists never told him of anything.
"I-I was j-just... Y-you..." Faron muttered in a low voice. "The Lab people. They tell me, I gotta go outside. If not, I not Healthy. B-But... Faron is afraid. There was, something like you and me, it attacked Faron..." His voice trailed of for a moment, as his eyes flashed back towards the forest outside, and his ears twitched. He had heard something, but then again that was normal, right? He looked back towards the Mew Boy. "But, the Lab People say to go. Not doing what they say is bad, right." It wasn't much of a question, and more of a statement. He slightly shook his head. "Anyways... You know Faron's name. What do they call you?" He questioned. His speech seemed rather scattered and strange, but that was the way Faron spoke. He was still regaining his speech, after losing it to severe amnesia. It was one of those things that took a lot longer to gain back, but he knew the basics.
Once again his ear swiveled back, and his head turned to gaze into the forest. This time, he knew he saw something move. It was crouched in the foliage, turning towards them, and crouching down. Faron let out a small squeak like noise and jumped away from the door, taking refugee behind the Mew Morph. "Do you see what is out there?" He asked the Boy. [/blockquote][/color]

Abel had to perk his ears and lean forward to hear the other pokemorph’s words. It was odd, having to be conversing with a much different morph than usual. He didn’t like the others; he sensed their bad intentions. This one was a bit timid. He tilted his head to side just a bit, confused at his explanation and broken English. So this one was like a plant, not just in appearance? His eyes widened a little in awe. That meant he could go outside – he needed to go outside. “… lucky!” He whined softly to himself once he had heard that part. He wanted to go outside. But of course, he wouldn’t be allowed to. It was forbidden, for some odd reason. He didn’t understand why, but his ‘parents’ were right. Otherwise, he might not be safe and happy, enjoying life as it is – away from the violence. The boy was too busy wishing he was in the same sort of position as the other special pokemorph to really listen to the rest of the story or to notice that something had moved outside.
It was when Faron asked a question that he looked up, only getting the last part, but enough to know just what he had been asked. “Well… my parents said my name was Abel.” He answered with a small nod, following the other’s gaze to the forest. Abel hadn’t seen many forests – actually, he hadn’t seen an at all, besides in pictures. Seeing one up close… it was kind of scary. The trees cast shadows on the ground and formed shadows which pretty much took over the area, creating the darkness. And it was within that darkness that he caught a movement in the trees. Instead of jumping, he actually stopped hovering and landed clumsily on his odd feet just as Faron squeaked. “… did you see that?” He whispered, not quite expecting an answer, as he already knew that Faron must have seen it.
He squinted into the darkness, taking a few baby steps forward, wobbling a little. It was a small, crouched form, and it appeared a bit spiky. Abel could make out yellow and white colorings, but just barely. Out of curiosity, he inched to the entrance of the door and looked around before taking a few steps outside. It was like stepping into a different world – the smells, the air seemed more... What was the word? It seemed clearer. At first, he took short breaths, but then he began to take deep ones. It was different, kinda strange in a good way. But he backed away, closer to the entrance. “I see… something spiky. It’s really dark out here.” He told Faron, “Come on, help me look!”
His blue eyes scanned the area around the place where he had seen the unknown creature. “Hello? Is anyone there? If you can hear me, then can ya please come out?”

It appeared that Jukka was spying on not one, but two someone's lurking just inside the doorway which was just outside of her line of vision. The only reason she could tell of course was for the fact that her sensitive ears were picking up two sets of voices. Curiously, they sounded very much like children, which was extremely confusing to the jolteon morph. What could a pair of children be doing playing inside of a sinister lab?
Then, she saw one of the figures emerge from the slightly open door and her shock could hardly be contained. He was definitely a pokemorph but to her surprise and horror, Jukka saw that he was of an extremely young age.
How old could he be? she wondered. Ten? Eleven Maybe?
It was one thing to abduct unwilling adults as your test subjects, but children? Perhaps it was some sort of latent maternal instinct or something but it nearly made Jukka sick to her stomach.
It also took a moment for Jukka to realize just what kind of morph this kid happened to be. Anyone who grew up knowing about pokemon as a kid knew of the legendary pokemon, mew and it was no mistaking that this floating, pink-furred child was most definitely a mew morph.
So, now what was she supposed to do? It was sort of a moral question to say the least. Jukka could have probably very easily just run off into the woods and left these kids to go about their business. The thought of saving her own spiny hide was very tempting indeed. Then again, these were just kids. Could they really hurt her? Well, they probably could, seeing as at least one of them was a legendary morph. The question really was, would they hurt her?
Then, of course, that little rodent that had been following her ever since decided to make the decision for her.
Being the brainless little mouse that he was, the pikachu jumped out into the clearing and began to sniff around for food. Jukka was so mad that she thought she might send spines flying if she didn't calm down. The pikachu had blown what little cover she had had completely so she had no choice but to step out and reveal herself.
And so, smoothing down her fur and trying to look as harmless as a jolteon morph who looked like she had been in a fight with a paper shredder could, she emerged from the clump of bushes and walked into the weak light.
"Hi," she called a bit awkwardly. "I didn't mean to frighten you. I just... wanted to make sure you guys were okay."
It wasn't really a lie. In the back of her mind, she was sort of concerned for their wellfair. They had probably been once-humans like her.
The pikachu, finding a fallen berry, sat munching it happily.

Faron had lingered back, while his Mew 'morph companion tentatively stepped outside, and scanned the area for the 'thing' hidden in the foliage. His paw like hands were pressed against the wall, and he leaned against it, watching and waiting for something to appear. He didn't even think to move from his spot until Abel backed up and spoke.
"Come on, help me look!"
Faron nodded slightly, and took a small step forward, crossing the thin line of metal flooring that separated him from the outside. He took in a single deep breathe, to calm his heart that had been thumping rapidly since the first sighting of the 'thing' that hid in the foliage. His left hand instinctively latched on to the fabric of his over sized Shirt, a habit of his, and lightly tugged on it a few times. His head turned swiftly back, making sure that no scientist had been lurking around and watching them. And before he had a chance to turn his head forward, a Pikachu jumped out of the forest shelter. Faron couldn't help but let out his little squeak of surprise, and squeeze his eyes shut, as if he expected to be attacked. But, he heard the Pikachu shuffling around, looking for something. It was no threat.
The Shaymin morph slowly opened up his eyes, just as Jukka emerged from bushes and greeted them. She didn't seem threatening at the least, but Faron still felt rather frightened. He couldn't find the will to speak at this time, and looked towards Abel, who had a rather outgoing personality, waiting for him to say something to the strange Jolteon Pokemorph. It certainly was a bit of a shocker when something bright yellow leaped out of the bushes. Abel’s eyes didn’t quite catch that it was just a Pikachu, so when he heard a squeak from behind – no doubt from Faron – he backed away, hands held over his head as to try to protect himself. Of course, when he noticed that he didn’t hear any fierce growls or roars or feel like he was attacked, he relax and allowed himself to lower his arms to look at the Pikachu. He looked down at it in awe, as he hadn’t seen an actual Pikachu, either. He’d seen a morph, but like every morph he had met, they were battle scarred and looked ragged. This Pikachu didn’t seem like it had actually been thrown into battle, so it looked adorable. Whether it was by wariness or fear of scaring it away, Abel toward it little by little, hovering in the air.
But he froze as something did emerge from the foliage behind the Pikachu – this one looked especially ragged. And maybe he was a little afraid; who wouldn’t, being approached by something out of the blue? His eyes fell on her collar, and he realized it was red and took a deep breath. It was reassuring to see a morph of Lucem Ferre – obviously if they were on the same side, so they shouldn’t fight. Lucem Ferre morphs were supposed to be friends or allies working toward a future best for them. Abel smiled and, not held back by fear anymore, floated closer to what appeared to be the Jolteon morph.
"I didn't mean to frighten you. I just... wanted to make sure you guys were okay." He stopped, then tilted his head to the side while the tip of his tail scratched the top of his head lightly—a sign of confusion. “Why would I not be okay?” He inquired, “They take good care of me. Keep me away from all the fighting and give me nice things.” Abel nodded as he spoke, patting the tiara on the top of his head and flicking his wrists so that the bangles jingled and shone in the light. “Ya look… like you were in a lot of fights, though.” His tail twitched and he shuddered, “It’s better to worry about yourself for a bit. My parents told me there are a lot of bad people running around here.” With that he looked around, trying to detect any other lurking morph nearby, but he didn’t see any.
Abel looked to the Pikachu, then back at the stranger while pointing to the mouse, “Is it yours? Because it's really cute.”

"Ah, well, thats the thing. I'm... I was assigned to be your body guards for a while if you wanted to play outside."
What the hell was she doing? Jukka thought to herself. She was intentionally lying to a couple of kids. What was she going to do if they actually went along with it and followed her? They still had functioning collars. If they strayed too far from the lab they might end up getting hurt. Still, the words had already escaped from her mouth and she had no choice but to continue her little ploy.
"I just saw some stray morph running around but I chased him off. I just wanted to make sure that he hadn't seen you guys and that you were okay. Anyways, the name's, Jukka. What do they call you guys?"
Oh, Jukka, you moron.
The second child morph had just appeared and it was clear that he was another legendary. She stared at Faron for a minute, taking in the green, plant-like hair and all the rest of the features that would be the envy of any shaymin. Of course, she had to go and try to save two of the rarest pokemorphs of Lucen Ferre. Somebody would notice if they went missing. In fact, somebody had probably noticed that she had went missing. A jolteon morph like her wasn't easy to miss.
Jukka watched Abel float over to the pikachu who just blinked at him while still happily munching his prize of a berry. She nearly laughed out loud at the thought of him being her pokemon but it was best to just let that fact slide as well.
"Yeah, he's mine. His name's... uh... Peach, yeah, its Peach." She picked up the chu and he didn't seem to mind in the least.
"You can pet him if you want. He's harmless."
Now if that wasn't the understatement of the century.
