[hmm... which side do i choose...?]
While CODA and Lucem Ferre are surprisingly similar in their methods of creating and commanding Pokemorphs, there are some key differences between the two that should be noted, whatever side your character is on.
Lucem Ferre was the first to develop Pokemorphs, so naturally they have a bit more experience with them. All of their Morphs are recognizable by a red metal collar placed around their necks (or, if they don't have necks, whichever other part works). These collars serve a number of purposes. For one, they are used to communicate with Morphs. A Morph's collar has a built-in "phone" device that the commanders and workers of Lucem Ferre use to give him orders. The Morph can respond as well; they could have a full conversation if they needed to. The collar also serves as a method of punishment when a Morph disobeys orders or attempts to get away. It's designed to zap disobedient Morphs with a powerful surge of energy that can send even the toughest and most endurant Morph topping to the ground in pain. The collars are rarely taken off and are virtually indestructible. They're made of a solid heatproof steel that attacks won't dent or break.
Abducted civillains are immediately either tranquilized and locked up for later or dragged off to a lab for their transformation. They are given no time to figure out what is happening to them; that just makes them more likely to resist. After their transformation Morphs are usually drugged for a few days and kept in solitary confinement, while their new collars spout off information about their situation and how one day the glorious Lucem Ferre will create a grand new world. It's an attempt at brainwashing the new Morph. It rarely works, but after a few zaps from the collar he's bound to get it into his head that he doesn't have a choice in whether to obey or not. Despite the zapping-collars and all, though, Lucem Ferre's members are actually kind and respectful toward their Morphs. They know that a Morph isn't just a mindless killing machine, and figure there's no reason to treat it like one. However they also know that a mistreated Morph is a dangerous thing to have on your hands, and most of them are already angry enough without unnecessary cruelty. They're careful with their soldiers.
CODA based its entire Pokemorph program on that of Lucem Ferre. After all, the only data on the subject they had was obtained from one of their labs. Like their enemies they use collars, though there are differences in them. CODA collars are blue. They're made of the same material and have the same sort of "phoning" device. CODA decided to develop the opposite of an energy-zapping collar, though. These collars absorb energy instead, sapping a Morph's strength and feeding on his Pokemon abilities. They're much more of a long-term punishment; a 'sapped' Morph will be weak and unable to use its attacks effectively for at least an hour. Not to mention it's also painful.
A civillian abducted by CODA will be treated a lot differently from one abducted by Lucem Ferre. The agent(s) who found him will explain why he was taken and what will happen to him. They do kind of exaggerate, though. Usually the explaination leads into something about patriotism or protecting your rights or standing up and being a hero. The whole goal of it is to get the soon-to-be-Morph to accept his fate and proceed to do whatever is asked of him willingly. This doesn't always work of course, but it's better than nothing as far as they're concerned. As soldiers Morphs are treated with a kind of loose respect; they are often called by species rather than by name, but are spoken to in a polite tone. Mostly it's just command after command with no slack for any emotional connection to be attached to anybody. On a side note, CODA seems to be afraid of its morphs. Its members know they can't just go about expecting them to obey forever, and they fear the day something goes wrong.
