[where am i...?]
This Roleplay takes place in the region of Johto, though it may extend to other regions as the plot progresses. This is a few years after the Team Rocket events, so the citizens of the land have had a long while of peace between the days of radio-wave-induced Magikarp evolutions and the days of half-Pokemon freaks running around. All the same cities and towns are there, and they are all the same as they ever were. Only difference is a bunch of Lucem Ferre labs are now scattered all over the place.
The world operates as it always has. Ten-year olds pick up starters and run off on Pokemon journeys, breeders catch as many Dittos as they can so they can get hordes of baby Eevees, Gym Leaders and other elite trainers keep making their already-rediculous teams even stronger... Everything's been moving along as usual. Thus, nobody expects what's coming when Pokemorphs start lurking about the streets and a criminal organization threatens to take over. Things are still normal, but it's all a bit darker now. There's like a hushed silence about the air as if everyone's trying not to talk about the grim truth that any day their loved ones could disappear and return as monsters. The general public knows about what's going on now, despite CODA's efforts to keep it all a secret. Some of them fear CODA as much as they fear Lucem Ferre; some of the more rebellious people go ar far as to claim they support Lucem Ferre for challenging the government in such a way. Whatever their stance on the issue though, most people fear Pokemorphs and regard them as violent monsters. It'd take a long and difficult search to find somebody who actually accepts Pokemorphs for who they are. Thus, any Morph who's out and about is gonna be a social-reject that people flee from in terror or attack on sight.
Pokemon are not going to play a large role in this RP. They exist, obviously, but they've been proven inferior to Pokemorphs (who have the abilities of a Pokemon and the logical thinking skills of a human) in combat, making them pretty much unimportant in the "war" between CODA and Lucem Ferre. They can still be referenced of course, and random NPCs can have them. They just won't be very necessary to the plot.
